My First Influenster VoxBox – Max Factor – Georgia Phelps Beauty

Happy Sunday and welcome back!

Firstly, apologies for not having a blog post up since last Sunday. It’s been a busy, fun filled week for me with work, training and just general bits and bobs so I haven’t had the chance to sit down and write any new content until now. Hopefully this week will be a better one for posts but I guess sometimes life just gets in the way – I’m sure you all understand!

As you can probably tell from the title, I received my first ever Influenster VoxBox last week and I’ve been dying to share my views on the products with you all.

If you don’t already know, Influenster are a company that supply bloggers and influencers with products for free for testing and review purposes. Influenster haven’t actually been in the UK for very long so to be selected as a blogger who would be sent some Max Factor goodies made me not only super excited but also really happy too! I’ve always been a fan of Max Factor products too so couldn’t wait to receive my products in the post and give them a whirl.

Colour Elixir Lipstick in ‘Pearl Maron 36’

Surprisingly, despite the fact I’m a lipstick fanatic I’ve never actually tried any lip products from Max Factor. I’m not entirely sure why to be completely honest. I guess it’s because I’ve always just gone to them for mascaras and a few concealers over the years but never ventured into their lip range.

The packaging on these lipsticks is lovely. They’re sleek, simple and shiny gold. I’m like a magpie with anything shiny – I see it and I want it. I also love the fact that they have the colour on the bottom of the lipstick. This makes it so easy to find what lipstick shade you’re looking for on a busy and cluttered dressing table like mine.

The formula itself on these lipsticks is perfect. They’re very highly pigmented which means that in one quick sweep, you have a fully opaque lip colour with no need to re-apply in any areas that ordinarily, might be patchy or uneven.

One thing that I wasn’t a massive fan of was the finish of the lipstick. Although I absolutely loved the shade (despite it being a shade I normally wouldn’t reach for!) the frosted finish just wasn’t for me. I normally tend to go for a matte lipstick or one with a bit of a glossy finish but this metallic sheen was just a little much for me.

Honey Lacquer in ‘Honey Rose’

Again this isn’t a shade that I would normally pick up in a shop but this surprised me! I’ve been wearing this over the past few weeks over the top of my favourite pale nude lipstick shade and it makes a fab combo. I probably wouldn’t wear it on it’s own due to how pale of a pink it is but the mixture that I’ve beeb using works perfectly for me.

My favourite thing about this lacquer is the texture and high shine finish of it. It’s probably one of the most non-sticky glosses I’ve ever come across and if you’ve read my blog posts before, you’ll know how much I hate sticky glosses.

I’ll definitely be picking up a few more shades of this lacquer very soon. They have a dark nude shade that I can’t wait to get my hands on and will definitely be sharing photos using it on Instagram.

Universal Lip Liner

This lip liner has been my favourite amongst the whole trio.

Not only does this product line your lips to stop your lipstick from bleeding or feathering but it also primes your lips to elongate the wear of any product and nourishes with conditioning moisturisers such as jojoba oil and vitamin E.

My favourite thing about this lip liner is that it literally works for anybody, regardless of your skin tone or the lipstick shade you’re going for. Due to it being completely colourless, this liner is the handbag essential for everybody.

That’s it for my review on my first ever Influenster VoxBox! I absolutely loved trying out these fab Max Factor goodies and look forward to hopefully receiving another box from them very soon. Massive thank you to the team there for choosing me and my little blog, it’s much appreciated!

Until next time,
