Face Mask Favourites – Georgia Phelps Beauty

Here we are again with another skincare related post! As promised, i’m here to share with you my favourite face masks on the market and tell you a little bit about why I love them.

Face masks have only recently started to become an essential in my skincare routine each week and I love mixing them up and trying new ones. The latest trend is of course multi-masking so what type of beauty blogger would I be if I didn’t hop on the bandwagon and give that a go? I’ll share my favourite combinations and some tips for fresh, brighter skin in a instant so keep reading if that’s something you’d be interested in.

Why are face masks so essential?

The way that I see face masks is that they’re the product that will do everything your other products haven’t done enough of. Yes, you can cleanse to your hearts’ content and whack on a load of moisturiser day and night but sometimes does it feel like not quite enough? Like you need a deeper cleanse or a more intense level of hydration? I get that too which is why i’ve recently come over to the dark side and become addicted to face masks. I can’t wait to share with you my favourite masks on the market and tell you all about the changes they’ve made to my skin.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask – £1.49

I’m pretty sure i’ve just completely fallen in love with the 15322619_1041050572671903_87395279_o-4713393whole moisture bomb range. As I mentioned in my last skincare post, I absolutely love the night cream that they have on the market so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that they had a face mask for just £1.49. Tissue masks have always caught my attention and been quite comical to me as whenever I wear them, I look absolutely ridiculous and lay back to ensure it doesn’t slip of my face. I end up legitimately feeling like mummy that’s come back from the dead until the full 30 minutes is up and I can finally take it off and move again.

This mask does exactly what it says on the tin (or the packet in this case) and literally gives your face a bomb of moisture. The tissue mask itself is covered in a thick layer of moisturiser/serum (whatever it is, it’s bloody good) and helps to make the skin feel cooled and refreshed. I’ve tried so many tissue masks in the past that just don’t have enough moisture in them so within minutes they dry out and become a complete waste of time and money.

I always find that after using this particular mask, i’m left with a lot of the moisturiser/serum on my face so I then massage it into the skin for even longer lasting hydration. If you love a bargain and skincare products that cool your skin and give intense hydration, you’ll love this one. Quite often, it’s on offer for 99p in Boots so I tend to stock up on about 5 of them and use them once a week when my skin starts to feel a bit tight and dehydrated.

GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment – £39

15310770_1041050246005269_1829748525_o-8573802I literally cannot put into words how obsessed I am with this mask and how much I love it. For those who don’t know me personally, I work as a Crew Leader for Smashbox Cosmetics. However, my counter within Boots is quite unique as attached to it I also have Bumble & Bumble and recently, GlamGlow which means that I get the lucky task of looking after all three brands and loving even more products. Up until about a month ago when GlamGlow joined me in store, I hadn’t ever tried any of the products. I had of course heard about them on social media and got so excited when it finally arrived and I could get my hands on the masks.

15311541_1041050199338607_132181682_o-8378857The Supermud Clearing Treatment was the one that stood out to me immediately. Although it’s typically designed for ‘problem skin’ which I luckily don’t suffer from, anybody can use it! As somebody who has dehydrated skin, I’ve always been so sceptical of mud masks because I was terrified of my skin becoming even more dried out. This mask honestly blew my mind. It detoxed my skin instantly and removed impurities from areas on my face I didn’t even realise I had them. It removed all black heads on my nose and chin and after just one use, my skin looked clearer, brighter and felt smoother.

These masks really do what they’re intended to do. They give instant results that visibly last on the skin. More often than not, face masks won’t change your skin unless you use them once a week for 2-3 weeks consecutively but these are different. One use and your skin will be different.

Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask – £16

15322523_1041050139338613_898709503_o-9791644As a lot of my regular blog readers/followers will know, Liz Earle products are some of my favourite skincare products on the market. I love that they’re all natural and botanical ingredients because it makes me feel confident that I really am looking after my skin. Quite often, I feel unsure of using certain products due to not knowing what the ingredients are or what they’re going to do to my skin. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin but you only get one face so having a reaction terrifies me. At least with Liz Earle products, I have confidence that my skin will be happy with the ingred15311635_1041050042671956_1522977821_o-3054565ients and that the results will be positive.

The main reason for liking this mask is that it has hidden benefits which I wouldn’t normally search for in a face mask. Not only is this product a brightening mask but it’s also an exfoliator which not only helps with the brightening process but also helps to remove any dead skin and improve the texture of the skin itself. After using this mask, my make-up always applies much smoother and sits better throughout the day as any harsh texture has been removed.

That’s it for my favourite face masks at the moment but I have no doubt that i’ll soon fall in love with three more and will be sharing another post all about them!

As always, please let me know what you thought about this post and any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you for reading, keep your eyes peeled for my next post.
