BLOGMAS DAY 16 – Blog Plans & Goals for 2018

With 2018 creeping up faster than ever and 2017 drawing to a close, it’s about time I started to think about my plans for the new year, set myself some goals and work out what I’m gonna strive for.

My little blog has come a long way throughout 2017 and I’m pretty proud of myself for the work I’ve put in and dedication I’ve had surrounding it. Personally, I love my blog and creating new content (maybe not every day whilst also having a full time job because ya’ know, this girl is struggling to get her 8 hours of sleep every night!) but once or twice a week is perfect and gives me something to focus on and be proud of once it’s published and getting views.

So, what do I want from 2018?

I’d really love to work with/collaborate some bigger brands! I love creating content for companies and so far, I’ve been lucky to work with some incredible brands such as Skinny Tan, Frezyderm, Max Factor and many others. I’d love to branch out and work alongside other companies!

I’d like to be more consistent with YouTube. I started off well and one of my videos has even reached 15k which is just crazy! However, my Instagram and blog got a little bit of priority and I found it hard to keep up and be consistent with creating YouTube videos. This definitely needs to change in the new year and I need to find a balance for all 3 platforms.

Have a media kit made to send out to companies. Media kits are basically designed to inform companies and PR teams of your stats and level of social media reach out. I haven’t yet had one made so this is a must have. If you know of anybody who creates them, please let me know in the comments section below!

Purchase a pair of soft boxes. I love my ring light more than anything but sometimes it can be a little harsh for some make-up looks even when on the lowest setting. Soft boxes diffuse the light a little more and although they’re bloody massive and a nightmare to store, I know I need them to up my Instagram game.

Take on blogmas again! I’ve really enjoyed taking on the challenge and definitely know what to change for next year too in order to make things run a little more smoothly. I’m already excited to get content created for next December!

Those are my goals and plans for the new year. There are probably more but it’s hard to think far ahead at times – especially when your mind is in overdrive at this time of year, right?

I hope everybody is getting prepared and ready for Christmas and enjoying the festive spirit. I also hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post! Now I’m off to enjoy the rest of my birthday and eat too much cake.

Until next time,
