As I’ve mentioned in a post before, I get stressed so easily and this always effects my sleep. Without even realising it, I’m extremely restless throughout the night so the amount of decent sleep I get can be little to none. However recently, I’ve found a few ways to help unwind and personally I’ve found that it means I sleep better! So I thought I’d share it for those of you that may struggle with stress levels as they’re likely to be rising with Christmas incoming.
Have A Pamper Night
As simple as it sounds, a pamper night is the perfect way to relax after a long day. A mellow, hot bubble bath, slap on a face mask, climb into your fluffy pyjamas and matching socks and you’ll be chill AF.
Become A Book Nerd
Maybe it’s not for everyone but I’ve always loved a good book. When you really get into a storyline, you kind of just forget about everything going on around you and it’s so easy to forget where you are.
Avoid Harsh Lights Before Bed
It’s scientifically proven that looking at electronic devices and bright lights before bed massively effects your quality of sleep. Your brain stays wide awake for a long time (which is why many people lie in bed overthinking for a while) so it’s pretty much impossible to doze off and get a really good nights sleep.
Have A Social Media-Free Night
If like me you spend a lot of time on social media, it can do you a whole world of good to have a night off for once. Granted, it can be easier said than done but give it a go some time. Social media can often be full of negative energy which of course, can have a very negative effect on your mental well being so, try giving it a break some time.
Invest In A Sleep Spray
I think my Feather & Down Pillow Spray is probably one of the best purchases I’ve ever made in my history of shopping. This stuff sends me to sleep instantly and relaxes me to the max. Infused with lavender and camomile, this pillow spray smells absolutely incredible.
There we have my top 5 best tips for unwinding, de-stressing and sleeping more soundly! I hope I’ve helped some people with a few tips (please do let me know in the comments below!) and I hope you’ve enjoyed the read.
Thank you so much for reading and your continued support throughout Blogmas.
