Adjusting Your Skincare Routine For A Seasonal Change – Georgia Phelps Beauty

As the seasons change, so does our skin and it’s so important that we cater for this and find the appropriate products for those changing needs. Personally, my skin goes from dehydrated to combination which means that my products alter massively. Great for trying out new products but not so great for my bank account!

Cleanser – Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

Ordinarily, I use cleansing oils on a daily basis but as the weather gets warmer, my face becomes more oily so I can’t be reaching for an oily cleanser all the time. Instead I mix things up a little and often opt for the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. This amazing product is a slightly more clarifying cleanser than what my skin is normally used to but it’s great at removing excess oils and all traces of makeup.

Toner – Liz Earle Skin Tonic

My toner stays the same throughout the whole year as the one I use is suitable for all skin types. The Liz Earle Skin Tonic is my favourite toner on the market and the only thing I change up is the way I apply it. Cleverly, this product is available both in a pour bottle and a spritz one too. I reach for the spritz bottle when the sun’s out as it’s lovely and refreshing! It’s also even more amazing when you store it in the fridge – a toner and cooling spray in one!

Serum – bareMinerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion

When the weather is warmer I like to allow my skin to breathe that little bit more so I tend to use more lightweight products than usual. I generally reach for a dual-phased serum and one that contains an oil but when the sun strikes, I need something slightly different for this. The bareMinerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion is a great product for deep hydration without suffocating the skin. It sits gently on the skin and gives the most beautiful glow.

Moisturiser – No.7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream

I’ve only recently discovered this cream (recently being this year) and I can’t believe I haven’t used it before! This moisturiser sits beautifully beneath makeup, creating the perfect base for any foundation and leaves skin feeling hydrated, plumped and nourished. It’s designed for normal-oily skin so is great for skin like mine that changes it’s mind as often as the British weather.

Eye Cream – No.7 Early Defence

Another No.7 product for my eye cream and again it’s a product that doesn’t change throughout the year. I absolutely love the effect this has on my under eyes and it’s one of the products that i’m working to use up this year too so it’ll continue to be a popular reach for me. It’s lightweight (meaning it sits perfectly underneath concealer), super hydrating and you only need the tiniest bit due to it’s consistency too.
