Wonderland Make-Up – First Impressions – Georgia Phelps Beauty

How the hell is it still January?! I swear this month alone feels longer than the whole of 2017 and I’ll be glad to wave January goodbye at the end of this week.

I was lucky enough to receive an email from Wonderland Make-Up several weeks ago asking if I’d like to try out and review a couple of their products so I happily accepted and I’ve been testing out the products they sent over, ready for this little blog post.

Who are Wonderland Make-Up?

Wonderland Make-Up are a UK based and cruelty-free cosmetic brand. They pride themselves on creating high quality, premium products at a low price as they believe that you shouldn’t have to spend huge amounts to look and feel fabulous.

Studio Finish Primer – £15.00

I’m a real sucker when it comes to primer because despite what some people say, it makes a massive difference to the way that make-up looks and lasts on the skin. A lot of people also don’t realise that primers also help to protect the skin! They act as a barrier between your skincare and foundation which helps your skincare to perform better and deliver everything it promises to.

The Studio Finish primer is definitely my favourite product that they sent over and I’ve been using it non-stop since it arrived in the post.

With a super smooth and silky texture, this lightweight, oil-free priming gel leaves skin looking airbrushed and flawless whilst helping make-up to last all day. Unlike most silica-based primers, this one doesn’t dry the skin out and actually helps my normally dehydrated skin feel nourished and soft whilst refining any large pores too. It’s an absolute God send!

The packaging is simple and small which makes it easy to travel with too. Highly recommend this product if you’re on the hunt for a new primer!

Lash Lengthening Mascara With Fibres – £11.50

2018 seems to be the year where I’m trying out new fibre mascaras as recently I’ve tested out quite a few different ones so I was really interested to see how this one would compare.

To be honest, up until recently I’ve not been a fan of fibre mascaras as they’ve always been a bit of a terrifying concept to me and I was originally only going to review the wand, packaging and look of this mascara. However, I thought I’d finally bite the bullet as I’ve been seeing so many people on Instagram raving about this one in particular and gave it a go on my own lashes to see if it was worth the hype.

I’m quite lucky in the sense that my lashes are naturally pretty long and thick naturally. However, compared to how this mascara made my lashes look when I tried it, without it they look pretty pathetic.

This mascara added tonnes of volume and a heap of length whilst making my lashes jet black and fluffier than ever. The formula was easy to apply and build up, I didn’t experience any smudging underneath the eye and it didn’t flake all over my face either which was something that I was wary of. Overall, I’m pretty damn impressed!

The wand is plastic but still super gentle and makes mascara application easier than ever. One side of the wand has longer bristles for upper lashes and the other side has bristles that are shorter in length and can be used as a comb for the bottom lashes which helps to avoid any clumping.

Wonderdust Loose Pigment – £6.50

Surprisingly, for somebody who’s a massive palette collector, I actually have a lot of loose pigments within my collection that I didn’t properly realise I had until I received this in the post and went through all of my others.

I find pigments really easy to use and so versatile too! I use mine as eyeshadow and also liner (both wet and dry) and the matte black shade that they sent over is perfect for both. Not only does it create the most intense and sharp winged liner but it’s also ideal for a bold smoky eye when it’s used all over the lid.

The packaging is compact, easy to open and easy to store within your make-up collection too.

I can’t wait to get more shades of these pigments (I’m eyeing up the shades Hazmatt, Burst and Ivy!) and build my collection of them.

Overall, I’m really impressed with Wonderland Make-Up! Their products are extremely high quality for the low price point and the brand as a whole seem fab too.

Thank you so much to the team at Wonderland Make-Up for sending over these products to try and also for sending out a little 15% off discount code for all of you guys too! If you’d like to treat yourself to a few bits feel free to use the code Bloglife15 (it’s not an affiliate code, just a bit of discount for you guys but I won’t be earning money from it – just so you know) but I highly recommend all of the products in todays post which you can find linked into the titles.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ve enjoyed the post!

Until next time,
