June Favourites – Beauty & Skincare – Georgia Phelps Beauty

How the hell are we half way through the year already?! It feels so surreal to be typing up and publishing my June favourites already but here we are in what feels like the blink of an eye.

I’m trying to hard to stick with these monthly favourites as personally, they’re my favourite type of posts to read and always help me finalise a decision on purchasing the latest thing from BeautyBay or Boots each month.

As always, I hope you all enjoy the read and let’s jump right in!

Dior Star Foundation – £35.00

This product is for me, such an oldie but a goodie. Being the first ever product that I purchased from Dior, it’s always been a nice little memory to keep and just look at on my dressing table each day but doing so (and often forgetting to actually use the product) made me forget how good this foundation actually is. Over the past probably 6 months, I haven’t been reaching for this product all that often (mainly because it was a tad too dark for me!) but I’ve recently picked it back up and fallen for it so hard. So much so that I actually visited my local Dior counter last week to pick up a lighter shade for everyday wear and not just when I’m tanned.

This foundation is for me personally, everything I could ever want from a foundation. It provides a medium yet buildable coverage with a radiant but not oily finish. It’s just perfect for my skin. It gives my skin a lift, a glow, extra life and makes it look flawless due to covering all areas of redness and patchiness on my skin. Simply, I just love this product.

NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade – £6.00

Finally, I’ve found a product that doesn’t leave my brows looking like slugs on my head! Up until now, I’ve always used the Benefit Browzings but after having mine for 5+ years and it looking absolutely grim (there’s NO way it’s going anywhere near my face) I needed to find something new for my brows as I wanted to avoid spending £26 on a new Benefit product for it to happen again in 5 years time and face the torture of throwing away a half used product.

This was exactly what I needed to stumble across.

With a highly pigmented formula, the tiniest bit goes the longest way and blends out beautifully. With this pomade it’s so easy to create anything from a natural feathered brow to a full glam, sharp as a knife brow. I love the compact packing, the low price point and the colour range is fab too.

Too Faced Glitter Insurance Eye Primer – £17.00

Those who follow my Instagram (if you don’t, then you should! @georgiaphelpsbeauty) would have noticed that last month I took part in the #7DaysOfGlitter challenge with my lovely friend Marta (follow her too! @atrrram) so glitter basically took over my life for a week and I felt like a unicorn during the full 7 days.

As I’m sure many of you will know, glitter is a bitch to stick down securely and you need some heavy duty primer to do so. No ordinary eye primer will do the job as they’re simply just not cut out for it so I was unbelievably impressed when the Too Faced Glitter Insurance kept product locked onto my eye lid for 16 hours straight. Yep, 16 long, hot hours.

This eye primer was my absolute go-to during that particular week and will be the first one I reach for whenever using glitter in the future.

bareMinerals Skinlongevity Serum – £45.00

My favourite serum of all time has always been the Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro one. However, step aside Chanel and take a bow bareMinerals. You have completely blown me away my friends and I am head over heels in love and obsessed with your Skinlongevity serum.

Not only does this serum add that extra drink of moisture that my super dehydrated skin screams out for but it has completely transformed my face. Even after just a month of using this product, my skin looks completely different. My skin appears and feels smoother, firmer, more plump and definitely has less texture too which has always been a massive issue for me.

This serum is now an absolute staple within both my morning and evening skincare routines and I urge absolutely everybody to give it a go.

Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water – £10.80

As my last favourite product for the month of June, I had to include this micellar water. I’m typically not a massive fan of micellar water as in the past, they have dried my skin out or not worked as well as I would have liked a cleansing water to do so but this one was a complete game changer for me.

I picked this up in the Boots that I work at a few months back because it was in the clearance section and was super super cheap (£4-ish I think!) and it got thrown into my drawer and almost forgotten about a little bit. Due to using up products this year and refraining from opening new ones, this micellar water sat in the bottom of my skincare drawer whilst I worked on using up my Nivea and Garnier ones.

After finishing up a few products, I opened up my drawer of goodies and this caught my eye. I thought I’d give it a go and used it on a day that I was creating an Instagram look and had a fairly heavy amount of make-up on. It worked like an absolute dream. My waterproof mascara and eyeliner, liquid lipstick and whole full coverage base wiped off effortlessly, easily and didn’t require any pulling on the skin whatsoever. The water smells beautiful, doesn’t leave any horrific texture on the skin afterwards and a small amount definitely goes a long way too! If you haven’t tried this product yet, I would definitely recommend going it a go.

That’s it for my June favourites so thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ve enjoyed this post.

Until next time,
