As people will know by now, I love me a good monthly favourites and yet again (like the last 3 months) I’m incredibly impressed with myself for remembering to post one!
I’m not gonna ramble for too long, let’s get into the good stuff and jump right in.
Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue Foundation – £37.00
I’m at it again this month with a luxury foundation being in my favourites. Last month was Dior and this month is the beautiful newbie from Chanel. I couldn’t resist it – I never can with Chanel and it’s won me over well and truly.
At first I was sceptical because I’ve tried foundations from Chanel in the past and they’ve been so hit and miss which was why with this one, I wanted to try a sample of it first. At nearly 40 quid, there was no way in hell I was doing an impulse buy on this one so asked the girls in the Boots where I worked for a sample and they happily provided a few.
On the first try, I loved it so much that I genuinely thought to myself ‘nah really? it’s probably just a good skin day’ and was overly optimistic about how my skin was performing that day. A week on after using it every single day, I was absolutely obsessed.
People were commenting on my skin every day saying how flawless and smooth it looked, people kept asking what foundation I was wearing and how I achieved such a clean finish. This product works wonders on my skin. I honestly thought I’d hate it! My skin is naturally pretty dehydrated and with this foundation being more of a matte finish, I was under the assumption that my skin would reject it completely and that it would look disgusting on me but I’m in love!
It’s a medium-full coverage and looks beautiful with any level of coverage. My only tips are to make sure that your skin is well hydrated (I forgot primer one day and it wasn’t as flawless as normal) and work quickly because it sets pretty speedily.
Smashbox Primerizer – £30.00
I was absolutely devastated when I found out that Smashbox were discontinuing my favourite primer in the whole world – the photo finish hydrating primer. It literally saved my skin and kept my face on all day every day without fail. However, to know that they were bringing in something even better got me super excited and I couldn’t wait to try it.
Primerizer is a product that absolutely everybody NEEDS. That’s right, it’s not just a want. You need this in your routine. End of story.
Wouldn’t you love for your morning to be quicker? To have a product that does two jobs in one? This is for you! This product is both a moisturiser and a primer in one and it does both of those jobs spectacularly. Lightweight, hydrating but non-greasy from the hyaluronic acid within it and keeps make-up on your face all day – what more could you ask for? Get to Boots and try a sample of this as soon as you can!
BH Cosmetics Foil Eyes Palette – £13.00
This is undoubtedly, my bargain find of the month! Huge shoutout to my bestie Marta who discovered the BH palettes on BeautyBay and got me hooked on them too.
I honestly can’t believe how incredible these palettes are for just £13! I personally picked up the shimmery, foil edition but I’ve also tried and tested Marta’s matte one too and it’s just as mind blowing.
These shadows have pigmentation comparable to my Violet Voss Holy Grail palette (literally my ultimate favourite shadows), they blend like a dream and have little to no fall out too! It’s insane how good these palettes are. Definitely give them a go if you haven’t yet.
Loreal Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Mask – £5.99
I won’t talk about this one too much as I have already posted a full review of the Loreal clay masks on my blog so if you want to know more, check that post out too.
This mask wasn’t one that I expected to love as much as I honestly do. I’m somebody who luckily enough doesn’t really suffer with blemishes or breakouts so I didn’t think this mask would do a lot for me but I love the way that it makes my skin feel. I use this mask mainly on my nose and forehead as if I do get blemishes, they tend to pop up there (typical, right in the centre of my face!) and every time I’ve used it so far, my skin has been so soft and plumped afterwards. It doesn’t make my skin feel tight or dehydrated afterwards which is great too.
GlamGlow GlowSetter Setting Spray – £24.00
I’m guilty of saying that I never ever set my face with powders because my skin is typically a little more on the dry side and to be honest, powders scare me a little bit! However, I do love a good setting spray and normally keep one in my bag for refreshing my face throughout the day or to lock my makeup down for longer.
Up until now, my favourite setting spray has always been the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day (Peach scent one of course!) but the GlamGlow GlowSetter has quickly taken over and now sits at the top spot firmly.
As I’m sure regular readers now, anything with a nice scent always gets extra brownie points from me and this one has a scent better than any make-up product I’ve ever come across.
IT SMELLS LIKE BLOODY SKITTLES!!
That’s right, the little round rainbow coloured sweets that are ridiculously addictive and so damn good. This setting spray smells exactly like the little devils and I absolutely love it.
Aside from the smell and most importantly of course, this keeps your make-up locked in and looking perfect all day. Even as somebody who is on my feet for 8.5 hours a day and wears a full face of makeup, I never once have to touch up my face when using this beauty.
That’s it for my beauty and skincare favourites so I hope you’ve enjoyed the read and please let me know what you thought in the comments section. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask as always!
Thank you so much for being here and make sure to subscribe for future post notifications too.
Until next time,
