Grounded Mango & Papaya Coffee Scrub – Full Review – Georgia Phelps Beauty

Happy Friday folks! I hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas and you’re still feeling like little stuffed piglets from all the fab food.

Despite taking on the task of Blogmas and making myself unbelievably exhausted throughout the entire month by blogging every day whilst also working full time, I’ve still promised myself that I’ll post at least once a week to keep my blog active. Commitment is a big thing for me so if I say I’m gonna do it, it’s happening.

I was lucky enough to receive a package from Grounded in the post several months back and I’ve been putting their body scrub to the test ever since and planning this blog post in the mean time. Up until this package came through my door, I’ve never really been into body scrubs but I’m fully converted and hooked on this product after using it religiously since it arrived.

Who are Grounded?

Grounded are the UK’s leading coffee scrub company who appeared on Dragon’s Den in 2016. The brand was created by Tasha Harris and Lloyd Hazell, a couple who live in Leigh-On-Sea and the products were originally created for Tasha to use on eczema that she had suffered with for her whole life. She found it was the only product that worked for her and cured her dry skin and so be it, Grounded Coffee Scrubs was born.

They are now stocked in a variety of different stores and retailers including Boots (where I’ve actually spotted the products before!) and Holland & Barrett.

What is the coffee scrub?

The product I received is pretty self explanatory really and is exactly what it says on the packet. This finely milled coffee mixture is scented with papaya and mango (absolutely delicious!) and is designed to exfoliate the top layer of your skin cells. The scrub includes Robusta coffee, coconut oil and sweet almond oil, sugar, salt and vitamin E. These ingredients will help to scrub away any impurities and detox whilst leaving your skin feeling cleansed, moisturised and firmed.

How did I get on with it?

As somebody who hasn’t ever really used body scrubs (only normally when I’m fake tanning) I was really surprised at how much I liked this scrub! Despite not liking the taste of coffee, I absolutely love the smell and to have it mixed with the scent of papaya and mango – complete dream. If you also love fruity scents, give this scrub a go because it smells divine! I really want to try the orange scented one because orange is without a doubt my favourite scent and I know I now need it more than ever.

Any cons?

To be completely honest, no not really! I found the packaging a little difficult to get along with at first as it’s made of a paper material and with wet hands, it’s tricky to not drop the packet into the bath! However, I found that the best way is to pour the scrub into the palm of your hand rather than putting your soggy hand into the packet and covering your whole arm in coffee! It’s the easiest way and not as messy too.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ve enjoyed the post. I can’t wait to try more from Grounded (hopefully the orange one!) and as soon as I do, I’ll have another post up straight away.

Until next time,
