It’s safe to say that Christmas is definitely one of the most stressful times of the year. The pressure can be horrendous and knowing what to buy people is in my opinion, one of the most strenuous tasks of them all. For this reason, I’ve created an easy-to-read gift guide to hopefully direct those of you that are struggling, in the right direction. I’ve split this gift guide into 2 posts as otherwise it’ll be the longest post in the world. First up, here are my recommended beauty and skincare sets this Christmas.
I’ll kick it off with my favourite Christmas sets from the wonderful Benefit Cosmetics this year. As always, they’ve absolutely smashed it with their Christmas gifts this year and I couldn’t resist nabbing a few of them for myself. After all, you gotta treat yourself at Christmas too, right?
Magical Brow Stars – £49.50
If there’s a Christmas set that every girl needs this year, it’s this. With a value of £118 and retailing at ONLY £49.50, this brow bonanza is an absolute steal. If you haven’t tried Benefit’s brow collection yet, you’re seriously missing out. Being the Number 1 brow brand in the entire world, they dominate brows like nobody else. Their products are absolutely outstanding and whether you’re a brow beginner or brow queen, there’s something for everybody. What better way to explore their products than this incredible set?
The set features 6 full-sized products including Foolproof brow powder, Ka-Brow cream gel, Goof Proof brow pencil, Precisely My Brow pencil, Gimme Brow + and a double-ended brush/spoolie.
For just £49.50, this set is an essential in any make-up collection.
Triple Decker Decadence – £34.50
Did somebody say 3 full-sized products and a deluxe mini for just £34.50? Yep, spot on. I know, I’m speechless too. Buying all of these products individually would cost you £78.50 so this set is definitely worth picking up.
Not only is this set an absolute bargain but it’s so beautifully packaged too. With this years theme being glorious cake shaped tins, Benefit have created the most picturesque gifts imaginable.
Inside you will find a full sized Porefessional primer, Bad Gal Bang! mascara, High Brow highlighting pencil and a deluxe sized mini GoGo Tint for the cheeks and lips.
Benefit aren’t the only brand who have released some incredible gifts. The choice out there is outstanding this year so I’ve done my best to narrow it down to my absolute favourites to make it as easy as possible to choose from.
Smashbox Holidaze Always On Liquid Lip Set – £30.00
Smashbox liquid lipsticks are undoubtedly my favourite on the market and my collection is forever growing. When I saw this set of minis in my local Boots I almost let out a little squeal. Not only are the shades absolutely beautiful, the packaging incredible but they’re the cutest bloody things in the world. The perfect size for your pocket or handbag and great to travel with too.
This set includes the shades:
• Miss Conduct (Deep/Warm Plum Matte)
• Stepping Out (Deep Nude Matte)
• Babe Alert (Nude Rose Matte)
• Maneater (Red Matte Metallic)
• XO, Vlada (Rose Gold Matte Metallic)
• Rust Fund (Copper Matte Metallic)
The range of shades amongst this set is just perfect and retailing at only £30, they make the ideal gift.
NYX Professional Makeup Glitter and Primer Set – £7.50
Another favourite brand of mine is NYX Professional Makeup. Their products are incredibly high quality with an affordably low price point. What more could you ask for, right?
Christmas isn’t Christmas without a touch of sparkle so this glitter set is the ideal gift. Not only will this set create the perfect Christmas looks but it’ll also take you straight through to New Year and have you sparkling into 2019.
This set includes 3 different shades of glitter in an easy to store stack of pots and their famous Glitter Primer which is guaranteed to keep your sparkle in place all night long.
Of course, not everybody is a huge make-up fan but don’t stress, there are so many incredible skincare sets on the market this year too. Here are a few of my personal favourites.
Clarins Hydra Essentiel Gift Set – £36.00
Clarins is one of my absolute favourite brands for skincare and there are so many products from them that I use religiously in my morning and evening routines.
The ‘Hydra Essentiel’ range contains some of my go-to products and this gift set is the perfect way to discover them.
This little trio consists of a full sized Hydra Essentiel silky cream which is suitable for all skin types, a 15ml SOS hydra mask which is great for a quick nourishing treatment and a 15ml Gentle Refiner which is one of my absolute favourite exfoliators on the market. Let’s also not forget the beautiful floral bag you get to keep everything inside! Worth over £49 but retailing at just £36, this set is great value for money.
Estee Lauder Protect & Hydrate Set – £45.00
I’ve recently discovered the wonders of Estee Lauder skincare and boy am I glad that I did. Their Advanced Night Repair serum has completely changed my skincare game so the fact that it’s included in this particular set is an absolute winner.
The ‘Protect & Hydrate’ set features a full sized Daywear moisturiser, a deluxe travel sized Daywear eye cream, Advanced Night Repair serum and Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam.
This whole set would originally retail at £84 but is currently only £45. For such good value, this beauty should be making it’s way onto every Christmas list this year.
No.7 5 Steps To Radiance – £16.00
No.7 are so well known for their skincare that I knew I needed to include one of their sets into my ladies gift guide this year. There are so many products from them that consistently appear within my skincare routines so it was easy for me to find a set to recommend. This set being the ‘5 Steps To Radiance.’
Featuring a full sized Nourishing Hydration Mask along with travel sizes of their Beautiful Skin Day and Night creams, Revitalising Daily Facial Polish and Revitalising Micellar Cleansing Water.
All No.7 products are hypoallergenic so they’re ideal for those with sensitive or temperamental skin. This set makes the perfect gift for absolutely anybody and with it’s low price point, it’s the perfect stocking filler.
There we have my top beauty and skincare gift sets available this year. I hope they’ve inspired some of you and helped those of you that are struggling with gift ideas. I’ll be back with Volume 2 of my ladies gift guide very soon so keep your eyes peeled.
