Blogmas ~ DAY 18 ~ Pixi Tonics – Full Review

my-diary

I was lucky enough to be gifted the full collection of Pixi toning waters several weeks ago and after putting them to the test since, thought I’d share my views on them for day 18 of Blogmas.

I’ve been a huge fan of Pixi since receiving my first PR package from them at the start of this year and finally understood what all of the hype was about. I’ve had my eye on these Tonics for a little while since they landed in my local Boots store so I was super excited when they landed through my door and couldn’t wait to try out their famous Glow Tonic because after all, anything with ‘glow’ in the title gets tried and tested out by me.

Retinol Tonic

Out of all of the tonics, this is the one that I’m using the least frequently as to my understanding, it’s the strongest one of the bunch.

Packed full of antioxidants and botanicals, this toner works throughout the day to replenish skin cells resulting in a smoother and softer appearance. It’s also great for soothing sensitive skin. This also contains peptides which are designed to boost collagen production so with anti-ageing benefits too, this tonic is a clever little multi-use product.

Glow Tonic

Easily my favourite of the three, the Glow Tonic has revolutionised my skincare routine and become a firm staple within my daily and evening regime. I can 1000% understand the hype around this product and regret not trying it sooner because it’s worked wonders on my usually, very dull skin.

Containing 5% glycolic acid, it exfoliates the skin which leaves a smoother and brighter appearance. I also love the fact that it’s alcohol free as this makes it much more gentle on the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling irritated.

Skin instantly looks brighter and refreshed from using this product and after using it continually for several weeks, my skin looks so much more glowing when not wearing make-up. I’ll be continuing to use this religiously and as soon as it runs out, stocking up with another bottle.

Rose Tonic

The Rose Tonic is the most hydrating amongst the trio and my dehydrated skin always thanks me when I opt for this one. Designed to calm irritated skin and minimise redness, this tonic is perfect after a day of wearing full glam heavy makeup, battling freezing cold weather or if your skin is just generally feeling a bit sensitive.

This one can be used morning or night and is definitely the most gentle amongst them all too.

That sums up my review for the Pixi Tonics. Overall, I love them all for different reasons! I think it solely comes down to your skin type and what textures you encounter as to which one you go for but I’d say do a little research into them before you decide which one to go for, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ve enjoyed the post!
