Georgia Phelps My last anti-haul several months ago was quite a popular one so I thought it was only fitting to create another one with Christmas just around the corner and so many brands coming out with shiny new products to try and entice people in.
As I did last time, I will say that just because I’m not buying these specific products does not mean that I dislike the brand, have anything against them or will not use other products from them. These products simply just do not catch my eye for whatever reason and won’t be joining my make-up collection any time soon.
Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette
As beautiful, as those shades are and as glittery as those pressed pigments look, the reviews on the Huda Beauty palettes are just far too mixed for me to commit to buying one. For me personally, to spend a lot of money on an item, the reviews have to be outstanding but I’ve seen so many people say this palette is really hit and miss so it won’t be joining my palette collection sadly.
Stila Magnificent Metals Eyeshadows
I’ve seen so many people raving about these eyeshadows but I really don’t understand the hype sadly. I popped into Boots Cardiff a few months back and tried a few shades on my hand and was really disappointed. To be, the pigmentation was very sheer and I was left with just chunky glitter on my hand. If I’m using a glitter product I want it to be intensely pigmented which unfortunately these just weren’t.
NYX Elements Palettes
As soon as I set eyes on these palettes, I was in love. I wanted them, the colours were beautiful and there were so many options to choose from. After swatching the palettes however and then seeing the price tag attached, I changed my mind. Personally, these palettes weren’t anywhere near as pigmented as I would have liked. They retail at £25 each which in my opinion, is absolutely crazy for a ‘high street’ brand product. Smashbox palettes retail at £24 and the quality is in my opinion, much better.
That’s it for my little anti-haul. It’s a small one because let’s be honest – this is me and I want most things make-up related!
