So, as you may know if you follow my Instagram or my Twitter, I’ve really been struggling to sleep over the past few months. I’ve been hella stressed to say the least and when I’ve got a lot on my mind, there’s no way I can doze off without a struggle and I haven’t been managing to fall off to sleep until gone 2am most mornings. As you can imagine, this is an absolute nightmare when you have to be up for work the next morning and also work in a customer facing role where you’re not really allowed to look sleepy. For these reasons, I knew that I needed to do something pronto to help my sleep routine and get things back in gear.
I started off by searching on Google what may help and to be completely honest, thought that most of it was just a load of shit. I tried most of them and I was right – they did bugger all and if anything, stressed me out even more because they weren’t working and I was led in bed trying to force my active mind to sleep when it just possibly couldn’t.
Just when I was about to give up and book a doctors appointment because it was getting out of control and I was on my 5th day of a horrendous migraine, I stumbled across the Feather & Down Pillow Spray.
For £7, I thought why the hell not. I was willing to try absolutely anything in the hopes of achieving a decent nights sleep and if it didn’t work, well at least my pillow would smell nice nonetheless.
The real questions is – Did it actually work?
10 SOLID HOURS.
No joke.
I tested the spray for the first time when I wasn’t working the next day as I didn’t want it to be too strong and make me super sleepy and drowsy in work. The fear of drowsiness was completely unnecessary and instead I should have worried about sleeping through my alarm. I slept 10 hours straight with no waking up in between, no restlessness and no sleepiness the following day. I have no idea how and no idea why this had such an incredible effect on me but I couldn’t believe it.
The pillow spray smells absolutely beautiful (Camomile and Lavender) and sends me off into a peaceful sleep so quickly. It’s the cosiest and most comforting smell in the world for me now and I can’t wait to use it each night.
The only time I find that I can’t use this spray is if I’m suffering with a migraine and sickness really badly as when that happens, I’m extremely sensitive to smells and lavender is a trigger for me and always has been. However, if I’m migraine free and use this, it won’t cause one. I just avoid using it if I’m trying to sleep when I already have one.
The only tip I have is to use this spray at least 40cm away from your pillow as if you spritz it too close, you get a soggy pillow and that’s not the most comfortable thing to sleep on!
If you’re interested, you can find the Feather & Down Pillow Spray here. I’d definitely recommend it if like me, you have trouble sleeping.
Have you tried any sleep sprays or have any suggestions to support a peaceful nights sleep? Let me know in the comments section below as I’d love to hear what works for everybody else.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ve enjoyed this little review.
